“A table can be a representation of many things and one of them, for me, is its function as a connector. That is why I am deconstructing a regular wooden table, to transform it into a pathway of communication. A portal that keeps me connected to my culture by sharing its foods and traditions. I am Mexican and with this performance piece on the sculpture I created, I am making an homage to my ancestors and their rituals.”
